The farm also contains some important historical resources. The Byrd Liebhart historic site is located on the part of the farm known as Lakeside East. Our family recognizes that and wants to preserve it. That’s why we offered it for sale to the Township as a park. We offered it with terms to accommodate the Township’s ability to pay. We offered to move development around and develop an adult community in Lakeside West, so that it would not have an impact on the historic resources or schools and would have minimal impact on traffic.
